Has accumulated more than 20 years of experience managing food and beverage operations in various settings such as event venues, nightclubs, and full-service restaurants. He has a Bachelors degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration and an MBA in Finance. Additionally, he holds professional certifications in wine and spirits from the Wine &Spirit Education Trust (WSET) and is a food safety instructor for Servsafe.
Currently, he teaches courses such as F&B Management, cost control, menu development, revenue management, and wine courses at the UAGM International School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts. Previously, Professor Menéndez served as a board member of the Puerto Rico Restaurant Association (ASORE). He has been instrumental in developing established restaurant brands and start-ups within the industry.
